Toolsa core drill stand fixing kit – threaded rod, wing nut and washer
Our small fixing kit clamps the foot of a core drill stand to a vacuum base plate or to the surface. It consists of a threaded rod, a flanged wing nut and a flat washer. We made it as an accessory for the Toolsa vacuum base plate and the DS 250 stand.
Three parts, one job
The rod has a coarse thread along most of its length for the nut and a short metric thread at the end, which screws into the mounting socket. You tighten the wing nut by hand, without a spanner, and the washer spreads its pressure over the stand foot.
Quick stand repositioning
The rod passes through the hole in the stand foot, and the nut with the washer clamps the foot down. The coarse thread lets you run the nut on and off quickly, so moving to the next hole does not mean reaching for a spanner.
With the vacuum base plate
With our vacuum base plate, the kit connects the stand foot to the plate through its mounting hole. We make the plate in a round version, 36 cm in diameter, and a rectangular version, 43 × 33.5 cm. It is held down by a vacuum pump, such as the VP 120 rated at 120 l/min.
With the DS 250 stand
We assigned the kit to the DS 250 stand, which has a 400 × 230 mm base and drills holes up to 252 mm in diameter. It is worth keeping as a spare set, because small fixing parts are the easiest things to lose on site.

What does the small Toolsa stand fixing kit contain?
The kit contains a threaded rod, a flanged wing nut and a flat washer. We assigned the kit to the DS 250 stand, which has a 400 × 230 mm base and drills holes up to 252 mm in diameter. The stand works with our DD 18, DD 22, DDB 26 and DDB 30 motors. If you have a stand from another brand, compare the hole in its foot with the rod shown in the kit photos, and if in doubt, send us a message with your stand model.
How do I fix a stand to the vacuum base plate?
Place the plate on a clean, smooth surface and connect the pump hose. Stand the drill stand foot on the plate, pass the rod from the kit through the hole in the foot and fix it in the plate's mounting hole. Fit the washer and tighten the wing nut by hand. Then start the pump, for example the VP 120 rated at 120 l/min, and check on the gauge that the vacuum approaches -0.8 bar.
